Hello,
is there anybody who has experiences with self compiled kernels for Dell
Inspiron 7500? The damn APM-Functions don't work properly. PowerDown
doesn't work, sending in StandBy when closing monitor doesn't work. I
tried several kernels, 2.4.24, 2.6.0 and 2.6.2 but every self compiled
kernel doesn't works as I expected. After many building sessions I know
the kernel configuration very well but I'm still not sure which
components are needed so that APM works fine for me.
At moment I can spend one hour without AC only. Maybe it's only a
configuration problem but I need some help.
Hopeful greetings!
Kai Klesatschke
