  how do I do that?
  
  I am not sure what you mean by "debinst"... Is that the installer? The
installer won't let me "load and configure of driver modules (translated from
the german output). It says I should first install them ;-) Which I don't know
how without the ieee1394 driver. 

  When changing to a console and issueing: "modprobe xyz" I just get
"modprobe: Can't locate module xyz".

  When launching the install I go for the bf24 selection. Is this ok?

  Even if I can download Knoppix and find out what the module is named ...
how would I use that information?
