Hi Michelle!

I recently bought an IBM R40 which has but a 14"-TFT-display, a 1.9MHz 
P4M-Speedstep CPU, 256MB RAM 20GB HD and Win XPP preinstall -- you 
should replace the HD just in case you want to keep the 
XP-recovery-partition ;-) -- my main argument for buying it was IBM's 
quality, linux-compatibility and that I can work for more than 4 hours 
on battery... which is quite amazing for a non-'Centrino'-notebook...

the price... by IBM-promotion it's about 1'500 EURO... plus 100€ for an 
additional 40GB HD.

I did not regret my buy any second!!!
