I checked out the log and it's not accepting any of the 800x600 modes
from the examples file due to either horizontal or vertical sync being
out of range. 

I've tried to find the specs for my monitor on Google but no luck. 

My config is: 

HorizSync    31.5 - 90.0 
        #VertRefresh  60 
        VertRefresh  50-70 

What ranges do you have for your monitor? 

Mine is an IBM ITSX95? 

Thanks for your help - I'm just worried about busting my screen :-(
