I'd recommend ALSA, since the Intel AC97 driver in the kernel had
problems last time I tried it, and ALSA is the way of the future...

Howerver, it's a little bit of a pain to set up, sometimes.
You'll need alsa-modules-source, alsaconf, alsa-base, kernel-package
and either a kernel source package if you're building your own kernel
or the kernel-headers package appropriate to the kernel you've got
installed.

Of course Pacman didn't influence us as kids. If it did,
we'd be running around in darkened rooms, popping pills and
listening to repetitive music.
