Dell Latitude C810: Xserver problems and installation page
I'm still unable to solve my problems with the Xserver on my Dell Latitude
C810 (nvidia GeForce2 Go). As I explained in my previous post, the
problem is not dependant of a particular kernel version, nor of a
particular driver version.
The Server typically crashes when the system is under "heavy load".
Moreover, I found out that the root user doesn't experience these
problems, only a normal user does!
Disabling apm didn't help either, so I really wouldn't know what to do
next. You can find everything I tried on the webpage described
further below...
Secondly, because of the troubles I experienced since the installation and
none of the pages on linux-laptop.net covered these issues yet, I've
started to set up a webpage about the installation. Your
remarks/additions are very welcome!
