Re: eth0 sleeping on the job

I've set up the /etc/pcmcia/apm.opt as follows
APM=suspend

If I run in manually ('cardctl suspend') then the card will suspend (power off).
Otherwise
it will allow my PC to suspend, but with the pcmcia card fully powered (light is on)

Whenever my notebook (IBM A21m) goes to sleep/suspend/hibernate, the eepro100 ethernet card doesn't come back on line. This is a royal pain to hassle with every 10 minutes if I'm working on something else.

Also, my DWL-650 network card won't sleep even if I try to force a suspend/hibernate on it. In fact, it's preventing some of the powersavings to come into play at all.

Hm,

did you install the apmd and played a little bit with that?
