Use Disk 2 instead. There is a problem in the 2.0 kernels which means some
register on the Toshiba motherboards is not reset properly, so a
non-standard kernel must be used. This is supplied on Disk 2 of the slink
CDs (Release 2.1), and is known as the tecra boot-image.

The problem was fixed in the 2.2 kernels, so you might want to think about
installing potato ("Release 2.2") directly. Potato is going through the
final stages of testing, but I think there are installation floppies
available, maybe even CD images. The official release will hopefully be soon.
