sound/keyboard problems

two problems.

I have a Crystal CS4236 sound card built into my "Clone E320S" laptop.
The clone code is the design of the motherboard, found out after doing
lots of research. The problem is although I can get sound with no
problem, about 40% of the time when (initialised) it is used it causes the
keyboard under all of the text consoles to behave very strangely. Its as
if the CTRL key is held done, every key I press comes up in such a manner
^B ^U ^G ^G ^E ^R. Another "feature" is that the Scroll Lock light turns
on and on pressing scroll lock its-self you get a SysRq style memory
debuging information. The scroll lock and keyboard features lasts until I
reset the machine. Very annoying. Although the X window system is fine
(probably as it controls the keyboard itself (I think I read that
somewhere)). However usually once I go into a text console its very hard
to get out back into the graphical one as the console flipping option
usually becomes disabled.

Hears the info you will probably need to help me, no much but that is all
I get. I have tried both both using the sound card when compiled into the
kernel and as a module but the identical features still occur. I have
tried initialising the card at 0x534 and even 0x532 in a desperate
attempt. I really do need the sound to be a module as upon doing a
suspend to disk the sound card doesn't get initialised properly and I get
no sound.

The other problem (which is probably fixed in Xfree86 4.0, I'm using
3.3.6) is I have a Trident TGUI 9397 built into my laptop and ever now and
again when I flip from a text console to a graphical X one the card
doesn't seem to be initialised properly and causes a burning of the screen
type effect to occur and the whole machine hangs.

any idea would be greatly appreiated
