Gateway Solo 9300:
Mobile P-II 400, 160MB, 10GB, 15" LCD, ATI Rage Mobility, IEEE-1394,
USB, ESS Maestro soundcard, DVD.

I didn't find any problems installing or using Linux, except that the
hardware is fairly new and needed the latest XFree86 (or using the VESA
FrameBuffer hack to switch to the graphics mode).

That went away with XFree 3.3.6. The rest of it just worked, except the
WinModem thing. I just ignored that.
