I just bought a DLink DFE690-TXD because the vendor claimed
they have "Linux drivers". The driver is a .o file that needs
to be compiled (no big deal) but it only compiles with 2.2.x kernel,
it will have to be ported to work with 2.4.x.

So..... anyone have any hints for me on how to do the port?
I know how to program, just looking for time-saving hints
(such as general design differences between 2.2 and 2.4
wrt device drivers). Pointers to FAQ's, README's etc
will be gratefully received. I already have on my list of stuff
to research: look at existing pcmcia ethernet device drivers
in both 2.2.x and 2.4.x and see what the differences are.
