Nice tutorial, it really helps.
The reason I am here is that I want to translate packages that belong
to both Ubuntu and Debian.
Most of the case, Ubuntu pulls them from Debian as the upstream.
However, for applications like gnome apps, Debian is not upstream but gnome.org
The same things go to Pidgin, GNU and most of the app.
IMO, we'd better work with main stream so that every distro, Debian,
Ubuntu, Fedora and their
Vietnamese users can have latest translation.
As far as I research, the following packages appear on both Debian and Ubuntu,
please update the list if I miss something.
dpkg,
apt,
aptitude,
iso-codes (is it shared with other distro other than Ubuntu?)
ant-phone (what is this?)
Q: Where is a list of all the packages available on Debian?
cf. http://www.debian.org/international/l10n/po/vi
the latest
By the way, I suggest that Hung and Phuong joining the MOST mailing list,
where we discuss the common problems on translation while keeping
Debian related topics here.
-> http://lists.hanoilug.org/listinfo/du-an-most
MOST also works on LibreOffice, Ubuntu, Mozilla, Gnome, GNU... translation.
