Salutare,

Dan, ne faci onoarea şi pentru versiunea asta să traduci notele de lansare? :)

Dan m-a informat că nu poate să traducă notele de lansare de la Etch,
pentru că este ocupat cu lucruri personale.

De aceea, notele de lansare sunt la liber, şi trebuie doar actualizate.
Cine se oferă voluntar?

Hello translators,

This is a heads up to inform you that work has started on the Release
Notes for Etch.

For now, the new Release Notes will be maintained in a branch of the CVS
repository for the Debian Documentation Project (DDP). The mailing list
where the work is coordinated is debian-doc@lists.debian.org.

See [1] for general information on how to get a checkout from the DDP CVS.
* To get an anonymous CVS checkout of the Etch Release Notes, use:
  $ cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@cvs.debian.org:/cvs/debian-doc login
  $ cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@cvs.debian.org:/cvs/debian-doc -z3 \
    checkout -r etch ddp/manuals.sgml/release-notes
* If you have pserver commit access, replace "anonymous" with your
  user name.
* If you have SSH commit access, use:
  $ cvs -d :ext:<user name>@cvs.debian.org:/cvs/debian-doc -z3 \
    checkout -r etch ddp/manuals.sgml/release-notes
* To view the repository with a webbrowser:
http://cvs.debian.org/ddp/manuals.sgml/release-notes/?root=debian-doc&only_with_tag=etch

Note the "-r etch". This makes sure that you get the correct branch.
If you don't have commit access, but still want to translate the Release
Notes, please send your translation updates (gzipped) to the debian-doc
list and someone there will commit for you.

We start with a copy of the Sarge Release Notes. So far we have only done
a first rough cleanup of sections not relevant for Etch.
The real work starts now.

For the Sarge Release Notes we had the following translations and main
translators:
- Chinese (China) - Hero_xbd!
- Chinese (Taiwan) - Tetralet
- Czech - Miroslav Kure
- Danish - Claus Hindsgaul
- Dutch - Frans Pop
- French - Frédéric Bothamy
- German - Alexander Schmehl / Jens Seidel
- Italian - Luca Brivio
- Japanese - Kobayashi Noritada / Nobuhiro IMAI
- Korean - Yooseong Yang
- Portuguese (Brazilian) - Andre Luis Lopes
- Romanian - Dan Damian
- Russian - Nikolai Prokoschenko
- Spanish - Javier Fernández-Sanguino Peña

Please reply to this mail if you intend to translate the Release Notes
again or if you intend to start a new translation. If a translation team
knows that the previous translator is no longer active, a new translator
is of course welcome to join.

It is up to you if you want to start updating now or wait until later. The
advantage of starting early is probably that the changes will be more
manageable.
The most hectic period for the Release Notes will probably be the second
half of October and the whole of November. It may extend into December
(depending on how the release of Etch itself goes).

Further announcements relevant to translators will be made on both
debian-i18n and debian-doc.

Cheers,
FJP
