zur Zeit hat Debian News einen Entwurf über die DebConf in der Schweiz im Ofen und
ich eine Übersetzung davon. Wer Lust hat, kann sich die ja mal anschauen.

<p>On February 20, 2012, the DebConf committee decided that DebConf13, the Debian
developer conference of 2013, will take place on the banks of the Lac de Neuchâtel in Switzerland. The exact
dates have yet to be determined. More details may be found on the
<a href="http://wiki.debconf.org/wiki/DebConf13";>organizers' wiki</a>.</p>
<p>Am 20. Februar 2012 entschied das DebConf-Komitee, dass die DebConf13,
die Debian-Entwicklerkonferenz 2013, auf den Bänken von Lac de Neuchâtel

<p>In a two hour meeting on Monday evening, the Vaumarcus bid
narrowly won over the bid from Riga, Latvia. Teams had been
preparing their bids since mid-2011, seeking venues and local sponsors in
their respective cities and countries. </p>

In einem zweistündigen Treffen am Montagabend gewann das Vaumarcus-Gebot
knapp über dasjenige aus Riga in Lettland. Die Mannschaften haben ihre Gebote

<p>The two bids had both character and unique identities. On one hand, the
Riga proposal was totally centered on city and university life. On the
other hand, the Switzerland bid aimed to bring DebConf to a setting that is
known for its natural beauty.</p>

Diese beiden Gebote hatten Charakter wie auch einzigartige Identitäten. Auf
der einen Seite konzentrierte sich der Riga-Vorschlag vollständig auf die Stadt

<p>This year, DebConf12 starts on Sunday 8 July, and ends Saturday 14 July
2012. The conference will be held in Managua, Nicaragua.</p>
