Re: überarbeitete Übersetzung für das Samba-Paket
Hallo zusammen,
ich habe die Vorschläge von Jens Seidel eingearbeitet und mir auch Anregungen
von Sebastian Heinlein geholt.
Sicherlich könnte man einige Nebensätze weglassen, oder bestimmte Worte anders
übersetzen, jedoch ist immer die Frage, wieweit man sich vom Orginal entfernen
möchte. Als Beispiel möchte ich hier das angesprochene Problem mit "Log-Dateien"
aufgreifen.: Man kann natürlich von Protokolldateien sprechen. Jedoch wird
auch in anderer deutschsprachiger Literatur der Begriff Log-Datei verwendet.
Auch wird ja in Seefahrtsfilmen von Logbuch gesprochen und nicht vom
Protokollbuch. Daher bin ich der Meinung, dass Log-Datei völlig in Ordnung ist.
Wenn es dazu dennoch gute Gründe geben sollte, die ich nicht beachtet habe,
dann möge man mir bitte ein E-Mail zukommen lassen.
Der andere Anmerkung bezüglich des Austauschs von _wenn_ und _falls_ möchte ich
erwiedern, dass diese beiden Worte in manchen Gebieten Deutschlands
möglicherweise eine stark unterschiedliche Bedeutung haben. Aber zumindest hier,
wo ich lebe (Sachsen), ist der Bedeutungsunterschied marginal.
Viel mehr Probleme bereiten mir Satzkonstruktionen wie folgende:
"Samba 3.0 introduced a more complete SAM database interface" ...
Es stellt sich die Frage, ob solche Wörter wie komplett gesteigert werden
dürfen. Wie dem auch sei. Eine bessere Übersetzung wurde ja von Sebastian
Heinlein gefunden.
Im Anhang ist die neuste Version der Übersetzung. Wenn bis Dienstag keine neuen
Fehler gefunden werden, oder sich lautstarker Protest bezüglich bestimmter
Formulierungen bildet, dann schicke ich es so an die Packetbetreuer.
