Policy 3.9.1: “Packages which use the Debian Configuration Management
Specification must allow for translation of their user-visible messages”

First of all, please, don't introduce new functionalities in unstable,
or other changes that won't be in line with the current freeze policy.

I would advise to only take care of this issue, i.e, apply the simple
patch proposed in the bug report, run debconf-updatepo, and send a call
for translation (that is what I'm proposing help for)*. Once every
translators updated their file (especially in the eight languages aiming
for 100% translation in Wheezy: fr ru de pt sv cs es da), then upload
the package to unstable since it'll fix an RC-bug with translations
updates, both accepted by the current freeze policy.

For the new templates, I strongly advise you to send them to
debian-l10n-english for review before introducing them in the archive
(and send the related call for translation once reviewed), and
eventually upload it to experimental (but not in ustable if it can't be
accepted in Wheezy), or postpone it after Wheeezy is released.

* Sending a call for translation is simply a matter of running:
	podebconf-report-po --utf8 --call
but I'm happy to help in that regard and provide you a debdiff ready to
apply with checked PO files (as in not broken by the BTS, see #666202),
and even deal with the unblock request if you wish.

Regards

David
