Hmm? I thought the scourge was the unnecessary jammingtogether of
normally distinctwords with no punctuation.
Hyphenation, to show the more-tightly bound relationship between some
words used in a phrasal modifier, seems a clarity-seeking practice
rather than a dumbing down.
