I confirmed problem on Eagle Lake, Kaby Lake and Radeon R5/HD 8570. I think
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104993
likely to be the problem. I have Buster and Stretch installations still using
same xserver-common 1.19.6 as 8.2 and they all suffer the (fixed in April)
upstream bug.
