I am very sorry to respond to your statement on the list so late
(above all, I live in another side of the globe). I want only to
remind you of the fact that there is a lot of endeavors and projects
based on a remastered KNOPPIX system in the world. People there are
surely expecting a release of a slim, but quite updated system for
remastering for their own aspiration. I personally think, it would not
be any absolute condition to be of a CD-size, such a slim system may
be a tiny DVD of 1 - 1.5 GB, so that it can leave sufficient free
space for additional packages to install. Today, the demand of a live
CD system for desktop-use would not be so large, but a "minimal
Knoppix" fulfills another kind of requirements. For this reason, Mr.
Knopper, we are doggedly waiting for a release announcement of a smart
minimal Knoppix in our sincere gratitude to your effort to development
of Knoppix.
