My first inclination when I need anything is grab the CD. I work mostly with
older machines, many of which only have CD drive, some of which can't boot
from USB. But, to work with older machines, content of newer releases isn't
required either. I can live with version gaps as long as I can understand why.

As to OM vs USB, OM is easier to store, always the same physical size and
shape. I can write on OM what is on it in big enough print to read. Cheap is
nice too.

Whether CD or DVD, my main concern is availability of the Grub shell. I have
no current need for and anticipate no need for the Grub2 shell.
