Thanks to AUFS (Another Union FS) you can use apt-get while running in
LiveCD mode. So even if the package you want is not installed, you can
add it temporarly or persistantly (with the use of the persistant
image...)

Yes it should, but to run apt-get you do not have to install Knoppix !
