Hardlinking duplicate files ...

Hi,

just found the following utility:

Relink by Kernel hacker Richard Gooch:

"A utility to replace identical files on the same file-system with hard links.
It is optimised to reduce disc head movement (by reading blocks of inode
metadata and then blocks of file data). Available here:"

ftp://ftp.atnf.csiro.au/pub/people/rgooch/utilities/relink.tgz

I haven't tested it, but I guess it could make the mandatory step of
hardlinking for remastering or installation much faster.
