Re: [debian-knoppix] H E L P ! ! ! !

Bob,
Have you tried a local Linux User's Group? They can be extremely helpful, and you can always use them as a reference when you get stuck.

Hi Bob,

finally cameup with a LOGON screen....there were 2 choices to logon as
either KNOPPIX USER or ROOT.....I had already set my passwords for ROOT
and for KNOPPIX USER.....But I CAN"T LOG ON TO EITHER CHOICES!!!! I read
that the LOGON is LOCKED???? WHATS that all about????? Why is this so

Get yourself a cup of coffee, calm down and describe your symptoms a little bit more precise. The main thing here is, that you need to get some knowledge before working with linux. It is not all so self explaining as Windows appear to be. Clicking away the screens without knowing what you are doing is astonishingly brave! I would not dare to.

Any how look for your capslock. If you are sure that you are doing well press Ctrl + Alt + F2. You should get a terminal to log in. Describe your problem from there.
