Since I used the rpm packages for my mdk 9.2 (running on my notebook) I thought I could use them to install them in knoppix.I got only error messages...xfce4 is part of Debian sarge, so you should be able to install it by just running "apt-get update ; apt-get install xfce4". Hello,Thank you for your help but in the mean time I reanstalled knoppix and I got all the different interfaces possible.
Now I have a different problem... I'm certain this easy for you but since I'm a newbie to linux...I want my son to use knoppix and he needs french canadian k-board. When he logs in he has to setup every time the k-board setup because he is not root.
How can he make that permanent under xfce? I did it under root but I could not make it work under user. Thanks Christophe _______________________________________________ debian-knoppix mailing list debian-knoppix@linuxtag.org http://mailman.linuxtag.org/mailman/listinfo/debian-knoppix
