No. The difference is in the better pre-settings of the major
components. While Knoppix is pre-configured in a way that the majority
of the users wish, Debian tries to keep its flexibility for every f*ing
corner case that may appear out there. But since we cannot combine this
flexibility with automatic setup routines (dpkg/debconf/apt are just bad
designed for this issue, IMO), we build it with as least configuration
as possible. Good for "power users" with lots of spare time to be
wasted; bad, really bad for people that just want to use the software.
