Only if you have network card connection, if you use DSL and you don't cancel
the dialog it'll get unusable ...

Wrong!
In Knoppix-Mode you have autoconfiguration like from CD -> so no problem.
In debian-mode all your configuration is copied so working NIC will still work
after HD-Installation and Knoppix-Menus also still work and they are
intuitive I think.
