This is a decompression error, which can mean two things:
a) Your CD is defective. Try to boot with "knoppix testcd" to check data
integrity.
b) Your RAM is defective or over/underclocked. Try to copy some large files
within the ramdisk under high load (i.e. several ping -f localhost &)
and compare their md5sums.
