[debian-knoppix] network shares

Hi,
is there any way to add shares to a network without being root?
I have realized that there's a new dialog in the recent KDE filemanager 
when I push the right mouse button on a selected folder. There, I have the 
possibility to add the folder to my network shares. How can I add a folder 
on Koppix, since a don't have the su privileges?

P.S. I am very impressed by the current release of Knoppix. Much improvment 
from the nov 2002 release. Thanks!
