[debian-knoppix] audacity and /dev/dsp
In response to my posting "video recoding/replaying and sound
problems" I received suggestions to try to record any sound with any
program. I picked up audacity.
Audacity by default uses /dev/dsp as playback and recording
devices. However, when I try to use it, it complains "Invalid playback
device".
This happens in particular on Knoppix 3.2 of 2003-05-03.
Any comments or suggestions?
