I think that this is a different bug. The KDE 3.1.1 in unstable needs
the currentmost "fontconfig" package from unstable, with the fontcache
correctly initialized (you may have to do an apt-get install --reinstall
-t unstable fontconfig).
For my setup, it is only the "Medium" fontsize setting which creates a
problem, the other fonts look OK.
