Language setting in openoffice (was: Re: [debian-knoppix] critical bug in 2003-03-21)

This is true, and independent from the boot commandline problem.
The "soffice" script does not set the locale variable after running
the setup program properly; however, if you call
/opt/openoffice/program/setup manually, openoffice should start and
remain in english.

You can as well wait for the next "experimental" release with KDE 3.1.1
and XFree 4.3 which is due tonight if everything goes well. I just need
to fix a little font problem with konsole yet.
