Sorry, this information is not sufficient.

It may be a kernel related problem, since the kebdev module does not
seem to load automatically.

This should be fixed with KNOPPIX_V3.2-2003-03-21b-EN.iso. The boot
commandline changed with syslinux version 2.0.
