[debian-knoppix] A few considerations about printing

This aft, I decided to find out how Knoppix was doing with printing. My
printer is an almost brand new :) Canon BJ-300. Here are my findings.

"Postscript printer" must be checked even if an "Unable to find Postscript
driver" error is issued.

Newbies might be confused by the fact that even if only CUPS may be used to
select a printer, "Remote CUPS server" should not be selected , but Local
printer... if the printer is local, of course.

Printing went OK in Open Office and Kword once printer settings were entered,
but I never managed to print in Abiword. Which "printer command" should be
used? It seems Abiword does recuperate the printer setting from the system.
For instance, in Slackware, the configuration is made with APSfilter and the
command is lpr -P Canon, Canon being, of course, the name I gave to my
printer.
