[debian-knoppix] Swapoff -a?
When does Knoppix mount swap partitions? During the boot process?
Is it possible to build a different Knoppix CD where this behaviour is
disabled by defaut? This would allow it to be enabled when required.
Regards,
Brian
While reading about the Knoppix boot process, I notice that Knoppix will
use existing swap partitions if they exist. When performing forensic
analysis on a system this behaviour is not desirable.
Just do a
swapoff -a
before starting the analysis.
