zobel@eder:~% uname -a
Linux eder 3.16-rc5-loongson-2e #1 Debian 3.16~rc5-1~exp1 (2014-07-15) mips64 GNU/Linux

The 3.16rc5 kernel still boots. Hope that helps to narrow down the problem.
