Thanks!  I'm setting you as the new contact for this bug.

Can you try a 3.x.y kernel from squeeze-backports, sid, or
experimental?  The only packages from outside squeeze that should be
needed for this test aside from the kernel itself are linux-base and
initramfs-tools.

If it works well, we can try to track down what change fixed it and
apply the same fix to squeeze.  If it doesn't work well, we can try to
reproduce it without the nvidia driver and then get help from
upstream.  So either result is a win.
