No, no need to bother.  It was just another way to make sure that it
is the radeon driver that is having trouble, but you've already
demonstrated that by now.

Merging with some other "radeon driver broken without firmware" bugs,
even though I fully expect them not to all end up being fixed at the
same time.  As different causes are discovered (some have already but
I'm too lazy to act on it :)) and patches written, the relevant
reports can be unmerged.  Thanks for your help.
