OK, there is a documented erratum (#400) affecting timer wake-up on this
processor.  But the kernel is supposed to recognise and work around it
already.

Can you provide a more complete kernel boot log (either from 'dmesg', or
if that does not include the first messages, from /var/log/messages)?

If you boot with the additional kernel parameter 'idle=mwait', does that
fix the problem?
