Oh, yes I know. I'm the maintainer of vserver as well. And was the
maintainer of the kernel patch as well. However it was not I that
requested the inclusion to the kernel package, but rather my
co-maintainer.
I can also assure you that upstream is very responsive on bugs
in the case of openvz.

I see. If I can convince upstream to give support to the Debian
variant of the kernel, there is no way to get in openvz?
I mean if we can remove xen, there will be plenty of room for
openvz, right? :) If I get some basic instructions (more or less
verify what I think I need to do to get the support working)
I can help maintain that part of the kernel tree.
