Package: linux-image-2.6.17-2-686
Version: 2.6.17-6
Severity: normal

Wake on lan doesn't work with the tg3 driver. WOL was enabled with the ethtool,
and confirmed as on with the same tool. After shutdown the computer cannot be
woken (works fine when bcm5700 driver is used instead).

This is not a recent regression, this has never worked in any version I've tried
previously.

Richard.

--- Begin Message --- Network card turned out to have no embedded firmware. Although the driver should have loaded the firmware at runtime few people are likely to be in this situation. Nothing is going to be done to fix this, and if it were I would be unable to test it now I've flashed the card.

Closing bug to keep things tidy.
