1) Install a sarge system with the "linux26" boot option.

2) Do an "aptitude upgrade" when etch is released.

Tou will now have an etch system using a 2.6.8 kernel.

More common will be the more tricky (for yaird currently) scenario of
upgrading a sarge system with the default kernel: It will run 2.4.27
even if abandoned by etch!
