Bug#316540: kernel-image-2.6-sparc64: Mouse problems using a Sun Ultra 60
Package: kernel-image-2.6-sparc64
Version: 101
Severity: important
*** Please type your report below this line ***
The mouse isn't properly initialized by the kernel.
If I turn of the computer and start with 2.6 kernel the mouse doesn't
work at
all. I tried "cat /dev/psaux" and nothing appears.
If I boot my system using a 2.4.25 kernel as soon as I move the mouse it
logs:
kernel: sunmouse: Successfully adjusted to 1200 baud.
After it I can restart the machine (using reboot command) and boot using
2.6.
Now the mouse works perfectly.
So, it looks like 2.6 isn't properly adjusting the baud to 1200 as 2.4 did.
Is quite annoying to boot with 2.4 to then reboot with 2.6 every time we
have
a power black out.
