The mouse isn't properly initialized by the kernel.
If I turn of the computer and start with 2.6 kernel the mouse doesn't work at
all. I tried "cat /dev/psaux" and nothing appears.
This problem is fixed in kernel-image-2.6.8-2-sparc64 version 2.6.8-16,
which unfortunately did not make it into Sarge. Possible work arounds are
to unplug and plug again the mouse after booting (ugly), or grab the newer
kernel image from testing/unstable (may prevent the installation of the
updated Sarge kernels, once they appear). If you are comfortable
with building your own kernels, you can use the patch [0] to fix the
problem.
