When trying to compare the performance of different filesystems for =
samba (using dbench), I hit a=20
problem with XFS when running it with 80 "users". The server panics at =
that point. I tried with
different filesystems (JFS/ReiserFS/Ext3/Ext2/XFS) and kernels (2.6.6-1 =
to 2.6.8-1) on two similar
machines with different root filesystems (Ext3 and ReiserFS). The =
problem only occurs when the=20
data filesystem is XFS.
