Comments/Problems:

This system will not boot off the Sarge kernels. Earlier versions of
this hardware apparently did boot correctly

http://lists.debian.org/debian-powerpc/2004/12/msg00671.html
http://lists.debian.org/debian-powerpc/2004/12/msg00677.html

On booting this bit of hardware with the power4 kernel I see

... ok
opening display /pci@0,f0000000/NVDA,Parent@10/NVDA,Display-A@0...ok
copying OF device tree...done
starting cpu /cpus/PowerPC,G5...failed: 00000000
Initializing fake screen: NVDA,Display-B
Calling quiesce...
returning 0x014000000 from prom_init

and then a white screen. Using 'video=ofonly' does not help. My
OpenFirmware version is

Apple PowerMac7,3.5.1.8f5 BootROM built on 09/29/04 at 18:56:06
Copyright 1994-2004 Apple Computer, Inc.
All Rights Reserved

As you can see, it was built less than a month ago.

I reported #286761 against kernel-image-2.6.8-power4-di initially, it
is really a duplicate of this report.

Please contact me for details or assistance with furthur testing.

Best regards,
Shyamal
