Jens, please, just add those fbdev drivers back into the kernel. This is
not the only problem which may arrise, it is also problematic with early
debugging info, as i already told you, and we will face no end of
problems by not doing it.

Also, right now, you gain _NOTHING_ in removing those modules, since the
kernel still stays too big to fit on a miboot or prep floppy.
