There is no matroxfb module. I tried to load the i2c_matroxfb but the error is 
the same. The output of lsmod before loading the module is in the file 
"lsmod.2.6.7" and the output after loading the module is in 
"lsmod.2.6.7-with-matrox". When loading i2c_matroxfb on 2.6.7 the following 
error is displayed:

the module load cleanly on 2.6.6

X11 config attached. The output of lsmod in kernel 2.6.6 is also attached 
("lsmod.2.6.6").
