AW: Running KDE 3.4.2 with Transparent Windows

The reason is very simple. All new nvidia drivers don't support composite. You have to use version 699x!

But don't ask me, wheather this version supports your video card. Ask NVidia - or better, ask them why they have dropped support for composite.

Best regards and rest in hope for a better nvidia driver,
Michael

Same experience here too.

AMD64 3000, nVidia v1.0.7174 drivers, FX5200 video card.

Debian unstable amd64 port with all the packages for everything.

Way way too slow to be usable.

Works perfectly here for me with
Debian amd64 (etch), AMD64 3200+, nVidia v1.0.7174 drivers, FX5700LE card, and KDE 3.4.2
