That's what I've already done, except for udev I have all the packages
installed already. CUPS printing works with another printer attached to
the serial port.
lsusb doesn't list any external device, just
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
From what you wrote I got the understanding that the KDE Printer Wizard
would have found the printer if the device had been there. Is that
correct?
