KDElibs/base 3.3.1 has not yet been built on mips. All other platforms seem to 
be fine.

For the style discussion: The thing that makes the default (font) look so ugly 
is the fact, that the XServer is being started with 100dpi by default instead 
of 75dpi. If you edit /etc/kde3/kdm/Xservers to start X with 75dpi, the ugly 
looking fonts are gone (if not, maybe you also need to comment out some 
100dpi unscalable fonts in your XF86Config-4)
